Dr. Pooja Desai

Dr. Pooja Desai earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2021. Her clinical training fostered strong interests in specialty contact lenses, pediatric myopia control, and advanced dry eye therapies. She is experienced in fitting scleral lenses, orthokeratology (ortho‑k), and soft contact lenses. In addition, she provides advanced dry eye treatments, including Forma‑I radio frequency and Lumecca intense pulsed light therapy. Dr. Desai also has extensive experience managing ocular diseases, including glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. She is committed to comprehensive, patient‑centered care and emphasizes education to help patients confidently understand and maintain their ocular health.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Desai enjoys running, hiking, baking, and spending quality time with family and friends. She offers eye examinations in English, Hindi, and Gujarati. Dr. Desai also advocates for the profession by volunteering as a committee member with the Ontario Association of Optometrists.

Dr. Desai is a member of the Ontario College of Optometrists, The Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists.
